Unit 1: Contributing to a positive and safe working environment

Within this unit you will gain an understanding of how organisational polices and procedures can contribute to creating a positive and safe working environment, in additional to understanding your won responsibilities and limitations. A greater understanding of risk assessment and how these promote a positive and supportive workplace culture will also be gained.

Unit 2: Violence in the workplace

Within this unit you will gain an understanding of workplace violence. An insight into the possible causes of violence within the workplace will be explored and learn how to reduce the risk of workplace violence. Awareness of reporting procedures to follow when workplace violence occurs will be highlighted.

Unit 3: Understanding aggression, bullying and harassment in the workplace

Within this unit an understanding of aggressive behaviour, techniques to de-escalate such behaviour and the impact that aggressive communications can have on the workplace will be explored.

Unit 4: Understand equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace

This unit aims to develop an understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This will include current workplace legislation and how individuals’ rights are protected.
